SERENATA: Love Poems Performed by Your Favorite Bands

Experience a different kind of Valentine’s with Serenata, a poetry and music session on Feb. 15, 2013, 9 p.m. at Today x Future, 7-T Gen. Malvar St., Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City.

Italian for serenade, “serenata” is the classic picture of a lover performing a song for his/her beloved standing by the window—a scene as serene as the night.

Witness local bands Wilderness, Flying Ipis, populardays, Moonwlk, and newcomer Zai Millar perform 12 poems from the writers of DLSU-Malate Literary Folio, Thomasian Writers Guild, and UP Writers Club. New verses from Ms. Mookie Katigbak-Lacuesta, Phillip Yerro Kimpo, Yna de Leon, and Christa I. De La Cruz will be performed as well.

Apart from the modern-day serenade, framed copies of the featured poems will be displayed and sold for the next two weeks. MoarBooks Publications, an indie publisher, will also be selling their latest titles.

This event is organized by Samantha Nicole Samonte & Christa I. De La Cruz. For more details, log on to:
