Yuchengo Museum, in cooperation with Goethe-Institut, invites the public to the opening of the exhibit Ulrike Ottinger: Photographer and Filmmaker on April 11, 2013, 6 pm at the RCBC Plaza, Makati. Exhibit will be on view until May 10, 2013.

Ulrike Ottinger features the exemplary works of one of German’s most headstrong filmmakers who has transcended diverse disciplines, from photography to filmmaking. Ottinger’s photographs vary from surreal, theatrical scenes to ethnological depiction, reflecting the clash between the documentary and the staged.

The exhibit is accompanied by her latest film, “Under Snow” (2011),” set in Echigo, Japan. The film portrays a snow-covered landscape in sharp contrast to the Philippines’ lush tropical scenery.

The Yuchengco Museum is located at the RCBC Plaza, Corner Ayala & Sen. Gil J. Puyat Avenues, Makati City. Museum hours are 10 am – 6 pm, Monday to Saturday. Admission fees are Php 100 for adults, Php 50 for students, Php 25 for children, and Php 25 for seniors. Entrance is free for employees of YGC member companies, media pass holders, and ICOM members. For more information, contact Yuchengco Museum at (02) 889-1234 or info@yuchengcomuseum.org.
