Fellows for the 5th UST National Workshop on Arts Criticism announced

The University of Santo Tomas is proud to announce the acceptance of the following young critics to 5th UST Varsitarian J. Elizalde Navarro National Workshop on Arts Criticism: Roy Tristan Agustin (Ateneo de Manila University), Jay Jomar B. Buntos (UP Los Banos), Charmaine L. Carreon (UP Cebu), Paul Castillo (University of Santo Tomas), Bernadette Irinco (UST), Maria Karaan (AdMU), Vivien V. Labastilla (UP Diliman), Maria Pamela Peralejo Punzalan (AdMU), Tito R. Quiling, Jr. (University of Santo Tomas), Annette Soriano (AdMU), Angela L. Velasco (UP Diliman) Cindy Velasquez (University of San Carlos).

This year’s panelists are Priscelina Patajo-Legasto, Oscar V. Campomanes, Rosario Cruz Lucero, R. Zamora Linmark, Robert Diaz, Martin Manalansan, Rebecca T. Añonuevo, Delan Lopez Robillos, Joselito B. Zulueta, John Jack G. Wigley, Ferdinand M. Lopez and Ralph Semino Galán.

The Criticism Workshop which will be held on May 26 to June 1, 2013 in Baguio City is endowed and organized by the Varsitarian, the 84-year-old official student organ of the Pontifical University. It is held in honor of the late National Artist for the Visual Arts and art critic J. Elizalde Navarro, who was art editor and critic-poet of the Varsitarian during his student days, and in connection with UST’s Neo-centennial Celebrations.
