In celebration of the International Museum Day, Ayala Museum waives admission fees on May 18, 2013.
According to the International Council of Museums, this year’s theme Museums (Memory + Creativity) = Social Change aims to show the rich heritage of every country through the preservation and display of artifacts and historical items in every museum. The International Museum Day was first organized in 1977 to raise awareness on the importance of museums in society development. In recent years, almost 30,000 museums from more than 120 countries have been participating in this celebration.
The Ayala Museum is located at Makati Avenue cor. De La Rosa Street, Greenbelt Park, Makati City. Museum hours are 9 am – 6 pm, Tuesday to Friday; and 10 am – 7 pm, Saturday and Sunday. On regular days, admission fees for ground to third floor galleries are Php 150 for resident adults; Php 350 for non-resident adults; Php 75 for resident child, student, and seniors; Php 250 for non-resident child, student, and seniors. Teachers get complimentary admission upon presentation of their faculty IDs while admission is free for museum members.
