The Parasurat Bikolnon writers organization is now accepting applications for the Saringsing Writers Workshop. Open to young fellows who write in Bikolnon languages, the annual write-shop started in 2011 as an exchange of reviews on the literary works among its members with fellow Bikolnon writers.

To qualify, applicants must submit either of the following: five (5) original and unpublished Rawitdawit/Rawitdawit Pan-Akì; two (2) Usipon/Usipon Pan-Akì; or one (1) Drama Pan-entablado na may Sarong-Tagbô. Manuscripts must be type-written in 8 x 11 paper, including a letter of application and bio-data with a short writing history of the applicant. In partnership with the Arts, Culture and Tourism Office (ACTO) of the City Government of Naga, the three-day workshop was successfully held in February last year at the Blue Room, Naga City Hall with twelve (12) participants from four provinces in the Bicol region. The activity was part of the month-long celebration of Bikol Arts Festival.

Now of its fourth year, at least ten (10) participants will be selected from the applicants to attend a three-day workshop scheduled in May 2014. They will be provided with workshop kit and accommodation.
