Dungug Kinaray-a Inc. (DK) invites writers to join this year’s Padya Dungug Kinaray-a, the longest running competition on Kinaray-a literature, in the following categories: Mamugu nga Sugidanun (Short Story), Sugidanun Pambata (Children’s Story) and Binalaybay (Poetry). Contest rules and application forms are available at DK’s official website www.dungugkinaray-a.com.
Winners in every category will each receive a medal and cash prize of Php10,000, Php7,000, and Php5,000 for the first, second, and third place, respectively. Entries must be sent to email@example.com on or before midnight of September 1, 2014, Philippine time. Winners and judges will be announced on November 15, 2014 at DK’s official website. Winning and selected entries will be published in an anthology to be launched during the awarding ceremonies in December 2014. Event details will be announced later.
Dungug Kinaray-a Inc. is a private, non-stock, non-profit organization that celebrates the Kinaray-a language and seeks to promote, gather, and preserve the Kinaray-a literature, culture, and arts. It is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission and celebrated its 8th year anniversary on May 5, 2014.
