Project Mayheim Productions is an organization composed of young thespians under the tutelage of professional Filipino theater artists and mostly from the University of The Philippines. PMP aims to produce a theater production that would showcase up and coming playwrights and give an avenue for budding and veteran stage performers to share their talents.
For its premiere production, the newly formed Project Mayheim Productions will be staging its first offering, “BA-WAL: Mga Dulang Bagong Luwal”, a twinbill production that features “Katre” by Christian Tordecillas and “Over My Dead Body” by Christian Dagsil.
“Katre”, a tragic but of great social relevance, portrays the struggle and pain experienced by those left behind by desaparecidos. “Over My Dead Body” is a comedy of errors revolving around three household helpers who are suspicious of their employers’ clandestine activities. They start conducting their own investigation and eventually draw a conclusion that their employers are committing a crime so they decide to resolve the problem but end up committing the misdeed themselves.
The two plays feature a stellar cast headed by professional theater actors: Opaline Santos, Karen Dematera, Erica Esteban, Treb Monteras, Brian Arda, Jiggy Guballa, Karen Romualdez, Victor Villareal, AljayJabian and Nicole Labayne.
