Started in 2006, FAME has long organized gigs that feature female talent through poetry performances, art exhibits, and live music. After two years of hiatus, the women of FAME are now back and ready to feature the verses of Romancing Venus, a sisterhood of performers and brainchild of spoken word artist Kooky Tuason.
To be exhibited on the walls of Last Home Resto Bar are the art works of AK Ocol, Ana Knicolai Mendoza, Hix Santiago, Joyce Jacinto, and Cindy Aquino. The piece by Aquino won in the Pride Photo Award 2013, an annual international contest for photos about sexual and gender diversity. As described on the Pride Photo Award Website1, the photo “depicts two Filipino women during a tender, intimate moment”
There will also be music performances by General Luna, Flush & the Toilets, Tao Aves, Mat Rabena, and Saffron Speedway.
